Henry County officially has a new Agriculture Agent!

Megan was born and raised on a farm in Smithfield where her family has been for generations. When she was younger, her parents ran a mid-sized dairy operation. Now, her family raises alfalfa and orchard grass hay as well as a 40 head commercial beef cattle herd. She is a graduate of Henry County High School and Kentucky State University, where she majored in Agriculture, Food and Environment. After college, she worked as a Research and Extension Assistant at KSU. There, she managed the small cow/calf herd and helped conduct livestock nutrition studies. She loves all things cows and have a special interest in different hay feeding methods, rotational grazing, and electric fencing.
